El fin de la PSU: análisis multimodal de afiches sobre la lucha estudiantil en contra de las pruebas estandarizadas
The end of PSU: multimodal analysis of posters on student struggle against standardized tests
Abstract
When the process of the last PSU took place, there was a boycott that affected the development of this test. This situation questioned the legitimacy of this evaluation instrument. In this context, this article seeks to make an analysis that shows how the posters created during the protests against this test represent students’ critical position on the PSU, using as a method the analysis of multimodal discourse (MDA) that includes thematic contents, semiotic elements, and linguistic elements. The results of the research show that three relevant issues underlie the student protest discourses: the end of the PSU, the end of educational segregation, and the end of market education.
