Teatro e imagen: ruptura, integración y apertura. Reflexiones a partir de la puesta en escena Australopithecus, el viaje

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic produced enormous and unknown challenges in every dimension of life, especially on those cultural practices based on presential and interpersonal relationship. Theatre was radically shocked by lockdown and isolation imposed everywhere. Nevertheless, theatrical artists faced the crisis exploring new ways for the stage art. This paper, by reflecting about the creative process that led to the virtual mise-en-scene Australopithecus, el viaje, also reviews various decades of work by its director around the relationship between theatre and image, which served as background for this theatrical intermedial production during pandemic.
