Remembrance and witness in Puño y letra by Diamela Eltit
Abstract
Two are the reflections –linked to Ricoeur– that will lead the wide open reading of Puño y letra by Eltit, reflections that will try to break the silence which this work has fallen since its publication. First, we’ll inquire about the insertion of two witnesses who act in an absolutely opposite way into the text: one of the witnesses protects himself under an artificial establishment (Zambelli), and the other one, the author-editor witness (Eltit), whose testimony is raised like a recovery of the trully remembrance. Second, we will inquire –from the testimonial report– the searching of that part which we ought to return to the rememberance: the duty of justice.
